You’ve probably heard that sunshine provides us with energy, but did you know that light bulbs work in the same way? Blue light bulbs release serotonin, which helps us stay focused, awake, and aware. - Background: 100 lux
- Aisles/corridors: 100 lux
The last two characteristics are mostly relevant to large-scale workplace lighting. The first two items, on the other hand, are critical for your home office. An LED bulb with at least 600 lumens should be used to create 300 lux workplace illumination. With a 1,000 lumen desk light, you may achieve 500 lux for your workstation. A bright, sunny day outdoors, on the other hand, can reach 100,000 lux.
Best Blubs for House ceilings:
In the lighting aisle, you’ll find lots of energy-saving BR30-shaped LED alternatives. 65-watt replacement bulbs, which normally put out roughly 650 lumens of light each, are the most popular among them. That’s a good, typical figure, and it’ll suffice for ceilings of ordinary height with at least a few lamps lighting overhead. The 65-watt replacement floodlights from Cree and Philips are the two I’d suggest among the ones I’ve examined. They are terrific buys and are quite energy efficient for the money (each draws less than 10 watts). These dimmable bulbs are also compatible with dimmer switches and, more importantly for overhead lighting, they’re both lovely and bright, producing comfortably more than 700 lumens apiece.
